Step by step installation of oracle on Solaris 10

Oracle installation


1. /usr/sbin/groupadd oinstall
2. /usr/sbin/groupadd dba
3. /usr/sbin/groupadd oper
4. mkdir /export/home/oracle
5. /usr/sbin/useradd -g oinstall -G dba,oper -d /export/home/oracle oracle
6. chown oracle:oinstall /export/home/oracle
7. mkfile 5gb /tempswap
8. swap -a /tempswap
9. prctl -n project.max-shm-memory -v 6gb -r -i project default
10 connect to oracle user
11. ./runInstaller
